2014 Met Gala's Best Dressed

The Met Gala, one of the biggest fashion events of the year, was held earlier this week. Stars graced the red carpet for the annual fundraiser, wearing their best pieces inspired by designer Charles James, who served as the theme this year. Plenty of stars brought their A-game, and we chose our Top Five favorites. These ladies, we felt, truly shined and really captured and embodied Charles James beautiful visions and flawlessly made them their own.
First up, we have Queen Bey, of course.
Beyonce wore Givenchy for the evening's festivities and turned heads. She looked sexy and elegant in this sleek, black, and sheer dress. The plunging neckline and high front slit showcased her gorgeous skin and gave the right amount of symmetry, and the allover texture was pleasing and exciting to the eyes. She made a bold decision to pair the dress with netted veil and dark lips and it paid off.
Next, we have the amazingly talented actress Anne Hathaway.
The gorgeous actress graced the red carpet in a beautiful bright red Calvin Klein dress. The slender silhouette worked perfectly for her frame. We loved that the construction of the dress was minimal, so we had plenty of time to focus on the key components that made the look so amazing and memorable. The cut of the neckline was sexy and classy, it revealed her smooth skin in the right way. The cut out in the center gave us that peek-a-boo snapshot of her toned abs, and the slit in the center gave us a little gander at her gams. Her ruby-colored gem shaped clutch and matching metallic pumps went beautifully with the Calvin Klein piece.
Bad Girl RiRi is next

She wore an all white 2-piece from Stella McCartney and it was epically stunning. The singer oozed brilliance from her head to her toes. The front of the bodice was simple enough:cropped and long-sleeved, but when she turned around she showed us her back, literally. The bodice had a triangle cut that left her back completely exposed. It added the sexy to we expected and wanted to see from Rihanna. The floor length flowing skirt was gathered in the back on the left side. It was edgy and chic. The high-standing choker added the necessary shine needed.
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker was another one of our favorites.
From the front, SJP served us elegance in its truest form. With her tall white evening gloves, sweetheart neckline, bell-shaped skirt, and chic up-do. Her black and pearl Oscar de la Renta gown was nothing short of amazing. The top of the skirt had an interesting scalloped effect that gave off the illusion of a longer bodice. The back of the dress was where the surprise was! The middle panel of the skirt had bold black grid on it, and a little red signature. It was quite the twist we weren't expecting, but we greatly appreciated.
Lastly, we have gorgeous model Karolína Kurková
Ms. Karolína wore a beautifully constructed Marchesa gown. It was a glorious sight to behold, the deep ocean blue gown had the most amazing structure, with it's asymmetrical bodice and scalloped tiered skirt. The excitement didn't stop there, though, the dress had an allover centered white floral print along with white flower appliques. Her dress was definitely the show-stopper.
Honorable Mentions:
Sarah Silverman and Maggie Q. both in Zac Posen
